The Daily Telegraph reported that new analysis of the 2016 census shows there’s more than 2.6 million people in New South Wales who can’t access solar power systems because they are living in apartments or renting properties. In the Canterbury-Bankstown region, there are about 142,005 people can’t install and use solar power because of their living situation.
Not owning a roof obviously makes it hard to invest in clean energy.
Tenants are very unlikely to make an investment because they may not be there long enough to enjoy the benefits, or it is not allowed by the landlord/property owner.
