48% of South Australia’s Electricity is Provided by Rooftop Solar

According to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), 47.8% of South Australia’s demand for electricity is currently provided by rooftop solar as reported by Futurism.

This number is a regional best for South Australia and the state continues to do well with renewables.

AEMO has predicted a possible zero grid demand within 10 years thanks to the success and efficiency of rooftop solar in the state.
