Australia has Acquired 6 Gigawatts of Small-Scale Renewables

Clean Energy Regulator states Australia has reached 6 gigawatts of small-scale renewable installations. The country now has 2.8 million small-scale systems (1.7 million+ solar PV arrays) as reported by Renewables Now.

Other systems include:

  • 18 hydro systems
  • 418 wind power installations
  • more than 1 million solar water heater installations.

Australian households and businesses are given incentives to install small-scale renewable energy systems under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
