Lyon Group Is Selling Their Three Energy Projects Still In Development

Energy Storage News reported that Australian large-scale renewables investor Lyon Group is selling their three projects still under development. The three projects will total 800 megawatt-hours of energy storage and 545 of PV generation capacity in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.

Lyon Group, said that the Nowingi, Cape York and Riverland projects are expected to be sold by the end of this year, with a shortlist of bidders but they are not yet ready to announce who they are.

The sale will help the business group on their ongoing strategy in developing more than 2,000 megawatts of solar PV and over 1,000 megawatts of battery storage within 3 years.

The three projects include:

  • The Riverland project in SA when completed will provide 240 megawatts of solar PV with 100 megawatts / 400 megawatt-hours of energy storage.
  • Nowingi in Victoria with 250 megawatts of solar PV with 80 megawatts /320 megawatt-hour of storage.
  • Cape York in Queensland will have 55 megawatts of solar PV with 20 megawatts / 80 megawatt-hours of battery storage.
