New South Wales Launch Floating Solar Farm

Australia will launch its largest floating solar farm in northern New South Wales as reported by The Australian.

The project has support from 70 councils which represents more than 7.5 million people.

The renewable project in Lismore by the Cities power Partnership and will call on all the Australian councils to support this initiative. The floating solar farm will be placed on the surface of an overflow pond at the east Lismore Sewage Treatment Plant. The generated power will be used to partially power the plant.

This renewable project is a team-up between the Lismore City Council and Farming The Sun. The floating solar power plant will produce 180,000 kilowatts of electricity every year and power 12% of the plant.
