Tesla Battery Is Living Up To The Hype And Delivering On Its Promises

When it comes to hype, no one can beat US-based billionaire Elon Musk and his Tesla Company as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.

Now, Musk is delivering its promise in Australia following the installation and operation of the world’s largest 100-megawatt lithium-ion battery, which Elon Musk offered to give for free if his firm could not deliver within 100 days upon signing the contract.

The power plant was constructed and delivered before the deadline and in time for the summer’s strain on the electricity system. The big battery has been already active and has drawn international interest.

The battery has proven its worth and exceeded expectations when the 559 megawatts Loy Yang A power station went down. The Tesla giant battery was able to respond in just 0.14 seconds and inject electricity to the grid much faster coal-fired back-ups.

While the hype rings a bit hollow in that instance, there’s no doubt the battery has been making a difference, responding to four coal generator trips in December alone.
