Major Chinese solar and energy storage company Build Your Dreams (BYD) has introduced a new line of commercial and residential battery systems in Australia. It offers consumers yet another way to store excess solar power and cope with the high electricity cost or power cuts as reported by Eco-Business.
The company unveiled their B-Box Battery Energy Storage System at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art last Wednesday.
Julie Chen, BYD batteries global sales director, stated that the firm chose to enter the Australian battery storage market because the country is one of the biggest markets for residential solar projects and has abundant sunshine all year round.
The B-Box battery storage system comes in a low-voltage model that is suitable for residential use, and a high voltage variation can be installed in homes and commercial buildings.
