Queensland has doubled its renewable energy jobs and reached up to 7,194 last October, according to the last Renewable Energy Index in October and was published by Green Energy markets as reported by Energy Matters.
Queensland also leads the national scoreboard for rooftop solar employment and installations. There were 4,000 new installations of solar panels for the last month which supported 1,347 full-time workers. The state has signed a new major large-scale renewable energy projects last month that includes the $160 million Kennedy Energy Park.
The renewable power plant started construction last month after it secured a grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
