5,400 Hectare Solar Farm Will Be Largest in Australia

The Chronicle reported that the Bulli Creek Solar farm, the largest solar farm in Australia has been given the go signal by the Federal Government.

The project received approval under the Environment Protection and the Biodiversity Conservation Act. The terms of this agreement mean the solar panels will only be installed on already cleared land, and only individual or small trees will be removed.

The planned solar farm site is strategic because of its proximity to the 330 kV Bulli Creek substation on the inter-connector between Queensland and New South Wales.
