Australian households and businesses are now producing enough electricity from solar panels on their roofs that they could power every house in Sydney, as reported by http://www.sbs.com.au.
There are currently 2.8 million small-scale solar systems in Australia with a total capacity of 6,000 megawatts.
More households, community groups, and businesses are considering installing solar panel systems in the near future, and more than 1 in 5 Australian households have already installed solar PVs.
