The Energy Storage Council and the Australian Solar Council have merged and formed the Smart Energy Council as reported by The IT Wire. The new council is the new industry body for solar, storage and smart energy technology and industries.

According to Smart Energy Council chief executive John Grimes, Australia will eventually be powered by Smart Energy. The council represents the most advanced and innovative energy leaders in the industry and are transforming to better reflect the members and the country’s energy future.
