Goldwind Achieved Financial Close on 20 Megawatt Hybrid Solar Project

Goldwind has announced that the White Rock Solar Farm in northern New South Wales has reached financial close.

White Rock Solar farm will be a 20 megawatt PV power plant located next to the northern end of the White Rock Wind Farm, located 18 km west of Glen Innes. The project is a solar-wind hybrid system that is expected to produce around 44,000 megawatt –hours of electricity in its first year of operation. This is enough to power 7,200 average New South Wales homes.

Development manager, Laura Jeffrey said that the ARENA grant has led to White Rock Solar Farms achieving financial close. The ARENA large-scale solar initiatives have been successful in stimulating strong competition and innovation among Australian solar projects.
