World’s Largest Solar Farm Can Be Seen From Space

China presently holds the record for the largest solar farm in the world. It’s so big, it can be seen from space. The Longyangxia Dam Solar Park has around 4 million solar panels and has a capacity of 850 megawatts and pushing the country closer to the country’s renewable energy goals. NASA just recently shared satellite images of the solar farm as seen from space.

NASA Earth Observatory’s satellite images of the solar park revealed the tremendous growth over four years. By early January of this year, the solar park located in the desert in the Qinghai province covered 10 square miles.
